E.O.C. Testing On the Horizon
E.O.C.'s / SENIORS / GRADUATES
Required- End of Course Exams and Tutoring
We have started the High School of Choice EOC tutoring and it will continue until the testing in December.
Please mark your Calendars for the Following Date(s)
The English I E.O.C. (End of Course) Exam is on December 8,
The English II E.O.C. (End of Course) Exam is December 10.
The History E.O.C. (End of Course) Exam is December 11.
Mrs. Hardister is tutoring during her conference on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Mr. Hughes is tutoring on Wednesday and Friday during his conference.
When attending Tutoring ensure to sign in remember this a requirement in case it's needed for SB ( Senate Bill) 463

Important “Stuff”
High School of Choice 2021 Seniors!!!
1. You have a folder in Mrs. Willoughby’s classroom. I will give you a new transcript every time you finish a course. Please add it to your folder and record the grade on your credit check sheet.
2. TSI – test to take if you are planning on going to Navarro Junior College, TSTC, any junior college. Also, many big colleges/universities are requiring it now. We are giving it here on Tuesday, November 17, at 8:00 AM. Sign up with Mrs. Cunningham!
3. ASVAB – not just for military purposes. See Mrs. Cunningham if you are interested.
4. Tutoring for End of Course Exams in December begins this Tuesday, November 3.
5. PLEASE fill out your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). All students need to do this if you are planning on attending any training/college/trade school after high school. See Mrs. Cunningham for info.
6. This is information that I received from a new recruiter
from Navarro:
This is Michael Couch with Navarro College, I'm the newest recruiter here for the college. My office number is 903-875-7341 my text message number is 903-414-6060 and my email is michael.couch@navarrocollege.edu I am attaching a QR code to set up appointments with me. I can handle anything related to Navarro College in these appointments. Also these appointments can be individual or as many that would like to attend. I am also available to meet students, for Waxahachie the Navarro College campus in Waxahachie would be preferred.
7. Be sure you have ordered you cap and gown from Jostens at www.josten.com. I have order forms, too, if you would rather fill out the paper order form.
8. Seniors photos – we took pictures here for the yearbook on September 18. WHS took them in August and September. Mrs. Cunningham will take a senior photo of you to add to the senior pictures. You can also go to Prestige Portraits in Mesquite to have a senior photo made.
9. As you graduate, please contact HSOC/Mrs. Cunningham with ANY graduation questions.
Applying For College
ApplyTexas is a centralized web portal for prospective students from Texas and other states to apply for admission to Texas higher education institutions. The purpose of the program is to allow students to complete one application and submit it to multiple institutions of higher education.
Automatic Admission (Top 10%)You may qualify for automatic admission to many public universities in Texas through the Top 10% Rule. To meet the requirements, you must graduate in the top 10% of your class at a recognized public or private high school in Texas or a high school operated by the U.S. Department of Defense and be a Texas resident or eligible to pay resident tuition. Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA)The TSIA is a test designed to determine if a student is ready for college-level course work in the general areas of reading, writing and mathematics.
