ScreenAgers Trilogy-Save the Dates
SAVE THE DATES: Screenagers Trilogy
RPS Middle Schools are collectively offering a three-part event series to support parents and caregivers to students ages 10 - 18. This series will navigate concerns about growing up in the digital age, uncovering skills for stress resilience, and addressing vaping, drugs, and alcohol. After each film screening a discussion will be hosted by one of our School-Based Mental Health Practitioners.
This event is free for RPS parents, caregivers, and students 10+. No Childcare is available. If you are in need of transportation assistance, please reach out to your school principal.
Screenagers: Growing up in the Digital Age An award-winning film that probes into the vulnerable corners of family life and depicts messy struggles over social media, video games, and academics. The film offers solutions on how we can help our kids navigate the digital world. A follow-up discussion will take place after the screening hosted by RPS School-Based Mental Health partners.
Screenagers Next Chapter: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience Millions of young people experience high stress, anxiety, and depression. We follow physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston as she discovers solutions for improved adolescent well-being in the digital age. A follow-up discussion will take place after the screening hosted by RPS School-Based Mental Health partners.
Screenagers Under the Influence: Addressing Vaping, Drugs, & Alcohol Join Screenagers’ filmmaker, Delaney Ruston, as she picks up her camera once more to examine the impact of our digital age on teens' decision-making in relation to substances such as vaping, alcohol and drugs. A follow-up discussion will take place after the screening hosted by RPS School-Based Mental Health partners.
A Message from our PTSA
From your PTSA:
We need volunteers for our Culver's Scoopie Night on Tuesday 9/19! SIGN UP HERE
*Our Culver's nights are an important source of fundraising for our PTSA, and we can't make it happen without our volunteers. Culver's requires that we have at least 2 volunteers at all times in order to receive the donation from their organization. Shifts are only 1 hour, all family members are welcome to volunteer, and you can volunteer with your Willow Creek student too!
Our first meeting of the year will be on Tuesday, 9/19 from 7-8:30p, at Willow Creek in room B-111. We hope you can join us!
