Student Led Conference
We are excited about our second year for student led conferences. Here is a little more information about how conferences will work.
1. You will sign up through skyward for a 15 minute conference with your child's Homebase teacher. We know 15 minutes is not enough to meet with everyone, we are just having you check in and start with your homebase teachers. Here are directions to sign up for conferences.
2. All teachers will be in the following location based on grade level to help, assist, and meet with families:
- 8th Grade Gym
- 7th Grade Gym
- 6th Grade Library
- Exploratory/PE- will be assigned to the grade level of their Homebase
- Special Education Teachers will be in different areas.
3. Teachers will send a reminder of where they will be located when we get closer to conferences.
4. You check in with your homebase teacher, your child will then go through their portfolio. Please have them bring their charged chromebooks.
5. Homebased teachers will help answer any questions and will also help seek out other teachers you may want to talk with. Families and students will stay at the table and our staff will come to you.
6. Plan on 30-45 minutes for conferences. In hearing from past conferences, parents typically signed up for 10 minute time slots with each teacher, this is about an equivalent time frame.
Note: if you have multiple students in the building (or at the high school), I would suggest at least a 45 minute gap between your conference start times.
