Dear ECC Families,

We've had a great week at the Warren Early Childhood Center! Arrival and dismissal are moving more smoothly, children are becoming more comfortable in their classrooms and we've started learning about CORE. This week we focused on C for Civility. When we teach the concept of civility to preschoolers, we talk about being kind to others. We've read books about being kind to others and practiced showing kindness in the classroom. You can practice civility at home, too. Praise your child when they demonstrate kindness to a family member and thank them for showing civility. Next week we'll begin learning about O for Order (following the rules).

Mrs. Ruffer's class had a CORE party to celebrate doing a great job of showing Civility this week.They made their own play dough and had a play dough party!

The car line is moving quicker each day. The car line will close at 9:05 a.m. daily. If you arrive after 9:05, you will need to park in the front lot and sign your child in.

In order to keep our children safe, please keep this in mind;

"While cars are moving, children shouldn't be and while children are moving, cars shouldn't be."

It is also important for engines to be turned off while in the loading zone until you are directed by ECC staff that children are clear and cars may safely be dismissed.

• ECC has two different dismissals each afternoon; full day at 3:30 p.m. & half day at 3:55 p.m. If you arrive early for half day dismissal, please wait in the center lane at the bottom of the hill until full day dismissal has concluded.
• Please remember that individuals picking children up must be on the pick up list in the office and have a picture ID.

December 20- No School; Child Care Closed

Hurry! Registration for the 19-20 school year is still open. We have had some full day spots open (9:00 to 3:30 p.m.) and still have some half day afternoon (12:55 to 3:55 p.m.)spots available too. Families may pick up registration materials in the front office. We'd love to welcome new families to our school community.

We love to celebrate birthdays with our preschoolers! While we love to celebrate, please remember there is a "no birthday treats" guideline.
