A Note from our Principal
Dear Parents,
Happy February! My how this school year is flying by! We will soon be celebrating our 100th day of school! This is a special day at the EEC as the teacher’s plan activities around the number 100. PTO will be providing a special snack on that day (Feb. 6). Each student will be able to put 10 of 10 items in a baggy to make 100th Day Trail Mix. If your child has any dietary restrictions you are welcome to still send a snack to school for them on that day.
I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for following our drop-off and pick- up procedures. This is the smoothest year I have ever had in this area. I know these guidelines are not always the most convenient for you, but I appreciate your willingness to follow them to keep our students safe. Your cooperation has made all the difference!
Kindergarten will be going on a field trip to the Stephen Fite concert at TWU on February 17. We have limited seating available. If you plan to attend with your child, please let your child’s teacher know as soon as possible. We can only accommodate a few parents per class. The tickets for both students and adults are $6.00.
On Feb. 23 at 6:00 pm, we will be having our annual Math/Science Family Night for our 1st grade students and their families. We hope to see you there!
There is no school for students on Friday, February 24. Our teachers will be working hard that day to look at data and to plan engaging activities for your child.
Please be mindful of your child’s breakfast/lunch account. Time goes by fast and sometimes it is hard to remember to add more funds to the account. Thank you for your help with this.
I’m looking forward to a great month!

Mrs. Masterson's Moments in Music
Family and Friends,
I am so proud of our first grade students and the amazing job they did at their recent performance! Thank you again for coming out in the rain and supporting the arts, and most importantly your child. On Tuesday, April 18th, we will have a program for our kindergartners where we will showcase some things they have learned as well, so mark your calendars! Listed below you will find some songs and rhymes we will be learning in the coming weeks in music class. I would love for them to show you (or better yet, teach you) a few of the things they have learned.
- "Bling, Blang"
- "A Ram Sam Sam"
- "Jennie Jenkins"
- "Cobbler, Cobbler"
- "Two Tall Telephone Poles"
Thank you for your support!

Please send a change of clothes
Please send a change of clothes for your child. Although most are potty trained, they can spill art supplies, fall in puddles, have nose bleeds, etc. All grades can get messy and having a change of clothes helps us tremendously.
Thank you!
