2017-2018 KMS THEME
KMS Mission Statement
Welcome to Krum Middle School
Greetings Bobcat Families,
Last week was another wonderful but busy week at KMS. Our tennis teams finished a successful season and our basketball teams had another great week. For the girls both 8th grade teams got wins against Sanger and the 7th grade teams continue to compete hard and get better each week. The boys teams pulled off three out of four wins against Sanger with both 8th grade teams and the 7th grade A team recording victories. Progress reports went home on Friday. Although this is a busy time of year, please encourage your student to turn in assignments and set aside time to study for exams. Tutorials are available each morning and in the afternoon by request. There is still plenty of time for students to improve grades before the end of the semester.
This week we will mark the first full week of December. My how fast this semester is going. We are just 13 days away from Christmas Break. Though we are approaching a break it is important for our school community to maintain focus and keep working hard. This week will the the last full week of instruction before Benchmark and Nine Week Exams. An exam schedule is included in this newsletter for you to review. We encourage you to come out and support our extracurricular activities this week. On Thursday our girls basketball teams will have their first home games against Azle and our boys teams will travel to Azle. We also invite you to break out your ugliest Christmas sweater and join us for the final pep rally of the year on Thursday during advisory period.
The best thing about being a Krum Bobcat is the sense of community and the way we take care of each other in good times and in times of need. Please join us on Tuesday, December 5, from 5:00-7:30 pm in the KHS cafeteria for a benefit dinner for Krum's Harrison family. Julie Harrison has worked for Krum ISD for nine years. Her husband, Kevin Harrison, unexpectedly passed away on November 14, 2017. 100% of the proceeds from this dinner will go to the Harrison family. We hope you had a great weekend and we look forward to another week of learning and fun at KMS.
Go Bobcats!
