Problem Based Learning, Constructivist Learning, Growth Mindset, Genius Hour, Passion Time, 4C's... there are many ways to define how we want to educate kids to be "Future Ready", but perhaps the most important thing for kids to do in order to be successful life-long learners, is to WONDER and ask questions.

All Lakeside students have started thinking about their own "I Wonders".
Third, Fourth, and Fifth graders are encouraged to complete the Genius Hour Student Survey on their own.

Genius Hour Student Expectations
• Student work stems from driving questions
• Student-led research must play a big role
• Student projects must be completed and then shared, ideally globally
Genius Hour Facilitator Expectations
- Students will be grouped for exploration by interest, based on the Genius Hour Student Survey
- Students will be in multi-aged groups
- Student groups will be facilitated by parent experts, campus teachers, and campus specialists, based on interest groups
- Student groups will be held on campus, during the regular school day

This event will be used to showcase final Genius Hour products, as well as allow learners to enjoy authentic learning experiences based on their self-selected topics.
