A Note from our Principal
Ms. Tammy Morris
Our school year is off to an amazing start! You may have already heard about our mascot, Bobby the Bobcat. The students are working very hard to earn the honor of having Bobby visit their classroom for the day. Every morning during assembly, the class that is showing that they know how to follow the rules get to take Bobby to class for the day. This has been a hard decision every day so far, as the students are all working so hard to be on their best behavior. This is a good problem to have! We will also be choosing PAW Citizens each week. These will be the students who have made good choices though out the week. They will be announced on Friday mornings during assembly and get to spend some time with me.
Please remember that if you are walking to and from school, you need to use the crosswalk. There is a lot of traffic at drop-off and pick-up times. We want everyone to stay safe. The cars are expecting to stop for the crosswalk but may not be expecting someone to walk out from between cars. Also remember that I do NOT allow anyone to walk up and get their child during dismissal time. It is not safe for me to have people escorting kids away until we can be sure they are with the right person. It also stops the flow for the parents who are doing the right thing by staying in their cars. If your child is a car rider, wait in the car line. If your child is a walker, wait across the parking lot. Remember, your child can only be a walker if they walk home from school. If they do not, you need to be in the car line. I know sometimes it is not the most convenient for you but, your child’s safety comes first. Also, if you pick up your child in the first grade line, please enter from Thoroughbred. Trying to turn left into our line holds up traffic and puts the students trying to walk across at risk. We all have to work together to keep our children safe. I appreciate your support in following these guidelines!
Thank you for entrusting your precious children to us each and every day!

Meet our Assistant Principal Mr. Outlaw
Mr. Kevin Outlaw
Dear Bobcat families,
I am honored to have the opportunity to briefly introduce myself. My name is Kevin Outlaw, and I am excited to have been given the opportunity to act as Assistant Principal of the Krum Early Education Center.
I am beginning my second year as a Krum Bobcat. I am truly grateful to be able to work in this wonderful district. From the first day I stepped on campus, I have been treated and felt like part of the Bobcat family.
I grew up in Waco, TX and graduated from LaVega High School. After graduating from LaVega, I attended McLennan Community College on a baseball scholarship. I graduated from McLennan, transferred to University of Texas at Arlington on a baseball scholarship and graduated with my undergraduate degree. I received my Masters in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M Commerce. I have coached and taught in Gainesville ISD, Callisburg ISD, and Sanger ISD.
I am married and have two children. My wife, Ginger, is a Nurse Practitioner in Sanger. My daughter, Lexi, is 16 and a Junior at Sanger High School. My son, Landon, is 12 and attends Sanger Sixth Grade Center.
I am excited to have begun the 2017-2018 school year. I want to ensure every student is successful and enjoys coming to school each day. My goal is to maintain a positive learning environment where all students feel safe and have the resources they need to be successful.
I am very confident that the EEC staff will continue to meet the intellectual, physical, and social/ emotional needs of your children, our students. Partnering with you and your children, I am looking forward to an amazing school year. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to call our main office or email me. I believe open communication is very essential in a school and encourage you to reach out to myself with any questions you may have. I look forward to meeting you and thank you in advance for welcoming me on this campus.

Watch D.O.G.S. Pizza party Kick Off!
Interested in being a Watch D.O.G.?
Watch DOGS (Dads of Great Students) are a group of fathers and father figures who want to be an active participant in their child’s education. Watch DOGS dedicate at least one day per year volunteering in their child’s school. Last year was our first year with the program, and it turned out to be a wonderful asset to our school. The children looked forward to finding out who our “DOG of the day” would be, and then interacting with him throughout the day.

Mrs. Jaclyn Basham
WOW!!! What a great couple of weeks. Welcome to the EEC, I would like to introduce myself, my name is Jaclyn Basham and I am the computer teacher here at the EEC. I have taught computer class for 3 years and absolutely love it. I have been married to my husband Cramer for 10 wonderful years. We have a daughter named Harlee who is in the 5th grade and goes to Blanche Dodd. We have lived in Krum for 12 years and love this small town community.
I am so impressed with how awesome the students have done in my class. The students started the school year off with learning the rules of how to take care of their computer station. Once they had the rules down we mastered how to use the mouse. Let me tell you they did GREAT! I am so proud of each and everyone of my students. I am so excite to be able to teach your little ones this year.
Thank you,
Jaclyn Basham

Ms. Kerry Ripple & Ms. Angela Hoover
Great to be back at the EEC and spending our days with the students. We will spend several weeks working on drills and practicing our PE rules through fun and interactive activities. We would like to remind parents to send a extra pair of rubber sole shoes with the child if they are not wearing them to school. Students may also bring a water bottle to PE class. This will help us all to have a fun and safe PE Class. We look forward to playing some great games and having a wonderful your here at the EEC.
Thank you,
Ms. Ripple and Ms. Hoover
