Message from our Principal
Greetings Bobcat Families!
September has been a fantastic month at Dodd! We had a fantastic turn out for the Grandparents' Day Celebration. We filled the library with grandparents and grand kids and then overflowed into the cafeteria for additional seating. Our students enjoyed interviewing their grands and then writing some poetry centered around the great things about their grandmother and/or grandfather. The grands left with the creative writing from their grandchild and some special memories they forged.
Our Watch D.O.G.S. kick off was a success. This will be Dodd's first full year of participation in the Watch D.O.G.S. program, and we are looking forward to welcoming our Dodd Dads into our school to support our students and add an additional layer of safety throughout the campus. If you were unable to attend the kick off, it's not too late to sign up for a day at Dodd. If interested, please contact Mrs. Anyon Coon at anyon.coon@krumisd.net for more information.
On September 21st, the KHS Football team welcomed our Dodd students as they arrived at school. The Bobcat players joined our Dodd students for their morning assembly where they shared tips to following the Bobcat Expectations (P.A.W.S.). The athletes then visited the classrooms where they read books to the students, answered questions, and signed autographs. We appreciate our Krum athletes supporting and encouraging literacy at Dodd!
Wishing you an Outstanding October!
