Event Information

2023 Martin Luther King Jr. Gathering and March

The Martin Luther King Jr. march will start with a gathering in the Washington Center gym. The Family Freedom Center will have activities for marchers who will leave for the DECC at about 11:00 a.m. Claudie Washington, a past president of the NAACP, will serve as march leader.

School Safety Drills

Ordean East Middle School will be conducting ALICE Drills and two Fire Drills during the months of January & February. The ALICE Drill for January will take place next week. Your students safety is our highest priority and we welcome you to reach out to Assistant Principal Michael Emerson if you have any questions or concerns.

OEMS Student Council

The OEMS Student Council held a food drive that collected 967 pounds of food for CHUM before the holidays. Mount Royal Market generously donated 100 cake donuts to the three WINs that collected the most food for the drive. Cederstrom 6th grade, Christensen 7th grade, and Teresi 8th grade.
