Women's History Month & end of Trimester 2

This month is Women's History month, a time to celebrate all the amazing contributions to society provided by the women across the world. During this month be on the look out for crew lessons, class room instruction and celebrations centered around women who've made their mark through out history. Also, trimester 2 officially ended 3/10/2022, be on the look out for report cards coming soon.

Sonya Sotomayor

the fearless federal trial court judge who saved Major League Baseball from a ruinous 1995 strike – entered the record book as the first Hispanic and the third woman to serve on the High Court.

Kamala Harris

Kamala Devi Harris is an American politician and attorney who is the 49th and current vice president of the United States. She is the first female vice president and the highest-ranking female official in U.S. history, as well as the first African American and first Asian American vice president.

Ibithaj Muhammad

In 2016, fencing champion Ibtihaj Muhammad became the first Muslim woman to represent the U.S. at the Olympics, and she also won an Olympic medal. She also commanded attention for being the first Olympian to wear a hijab.

Social Studies

I can analyze the political principles underlying the U.S. Constitution, and they compare the enumerated and implied powers of the federal government.

ELA

Student will wrap up House on Mango street and begin covering the Holocaust .

Science

Students will continue to cover Newtons 3 laws and observe how objects move and collide.

Math

Students will graphing and solving linear inequalities in two variables .
