Come to the 4th year of this fun downtown event co-sponsored by Pickford Film Center, Mount Bakery and the SPARK Museum celebrating the bicycle and our community! This year will feature local bike clubs and shops, SPARK beer garden with Boundary Bay ales, the Bike Show 'n Shine (sort of like a car show for bikes), music by the righteous, Smokewagon, and the movie, Stop Making Sense with the Talking Heads. Fresh live t-shirt printing by INNATE!

The Bellingham Show 'n Shine offers community bike lovers the opportunity to both show off their bikes as well as win prizes in several categories.

Show and Shine Categories include:

Best Vintage Classic (before 1980) - Original or restored classic bikes.

Best Special Custom - Hand-built, novelty, multi-wheeled, tall, circus bikes.

Best Decorated Bike - Any type or year of bike decorated with streamers, paint, lights, cards.

All ages can participate in the Bellingham Bicycle Show 'n Shine by registering their bikes between 7:00 pm ­and 7:30 pm ­on Bay Street in front of Pickford Film Center. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded in each category and there will also be a “Best of Show” winner. The awards will be announced before the movie at 8:15 pm.

Pickford Film Center is the nonprofit organization that operates Bellingham’s only independent movie venues – Pickford Film Center at 1318 Bay Street and the Limelight Cinema at 1416 Cornwall Avenue. The organization also produces several film festivals throughout the year as well as other film related events and programs.
