DSHS STUDENTS QUALIFY FOR NATIONAL SPEECH & DEBATE ASSOCIATION TOURNAMENT
Seven Dripping Springs High School speech and debate students have qualified for the 2025 National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) Tournament after competing at the Heart of Texas District Tournament at Anderson High School in Austin.
Annika Gillella, Liam Ianiro, Abir Kulkarni, Will McAdams, and Zoey Parks were selected by the Heart of Texas NSDA District Leadership Committee to represent the district at the national tournament in World Schools Debate. The debaters will be split into two teams that will also feature students from Austin Bowie and Austin Anderson.
In 2024, Ianiro and McAdams were part of the Heart of Texas Gold team that tied for fifth place out of 200 teams at the national competition. Kulkarni and Parks were also national qualifiers a year ago.
Aaniya Khan (Congressional Debate-House) and Anvika Jain (Program Oral Interpretation) also qualified to represent Dripping Springs at the national tournament.
Nationals will be held June 15-20 in Des Moines, Iowa.
PRE-K LOTTERY CLOSES FRIDAY
Families enrolling in the tuition-based pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) program will be entered into a lottery to determine if they are placed at their home campus. Enrollment assignments are not given on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-K students must be 4 years old on or before September 1 of the year enrolling, be a resident of Dripping Springs ISD, and meet the immunization requirements.
In order to be included in the Pre-K lottery process, parents must complete the following steps by Friday, March 28. Visit dsisdtx.us/pk to begin registration.

BOND 2025 COMMUNITY INFORMATION SESSIONS
DSISD will host two Community Information Sessions on the 2025 Bond on Wednesday, April 9 in the Center for Learning & Leadership. A morning session (9:30 - 10:30 AM) and evening session (6:00 - 7:00 PM) will be offered for DSISD stakeholders. The sessions will include a presentation by Superintendent Dr. Holly Morris-Kuentz, Deputy Superintendent Elaine Cogburn and Chief Operating Officer Scott Berry. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions during the session.
2025-26 KIDS CLUB AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM
There are a limited number of openings for families wishing to register their child(ren) for Kids Club after-school childcare for the 2025-26 school year. Kids Club is a large recreational group setting program for children who are enrolled in grades PK-5 in Dripping Springs ISD.
Due to the growth in our district and the demand for after-school childcare, a lottery system registration process is in place. Parents who register by Friday, March 28 will be entered into the lottery and will be notified by May 1 on whether or not their child has been selected.

Select your child's 2025-26 elementary campus.
Click on the “Kids Club” icon.
Click “2025-26 Kids Club” and the link below “Number”.
Finally, select “Click Here to Register for this Class”.

2025 SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION
Registration for the full-day Camp Venture and Adventure Camp begins Monday, March 31 at 10:00 a.m. Spots for these camps fill up quickly as space is limited! Registration for all other summer camps opens Thursday, April 3 at 10:00 a.m.
