Hello Falcon Families!
Over the past few weeks, we've gotten to learn a lot in some new and exciting ways! PTC sponsored a fun assembly called the Magic of Science. Students learned about the art of perception and how the way we look at things can make a huge difference! Many of our students also got to view the awesome solar eclipse in fun and safe ways. Many looked at it through special glasses, while others tracked it using shadows.
The end of the year is approaching quickly, and we have a jam packed schedule of fun and learning as we finish out the year! Our 3rd and 4th graders are finishing up state testing. Soon, 3rd graders will be heading to Farm Day, and our 4th graders will be off to Coloma! On May 10th, our Spelling Bee teams will be showing off their amazing spelling skills at the County Spelling Bee hosted by PPESD. We will very likely have a lot of families from all over the county on our site that day to watch the excitement.
Many of our annual events are in the final stages of planning, and we can't wait to share what we have planned for you soon! If you want to help make these things amazing, call our school office to see how you can help. We appreciate all of our support as we finish the year strong!

Volunteers Improving Pinewood - Congratulations to Amy Velasco for earning our VIP Award for the month of March. We appreciate everything you do to help support our students at Pinewood!
Open House - Open House this year will be on Thursday, May 16th from 5:30-7:00. This is an unstructured time for families to walk through the school and their child's classroom to see all of the fantastic things they have been learning this year. Our Book Fair will be open from 5:00-6:30 to allow for parent supervised shopping. We look forward to seeing you there!
TK/K Enrollment - TK and Kindergarten enrollment is now open! Students are eligible to enroll in TK if they turn 5 between September 2, 2024 and June 2, 2025. Students are eligible to enroll in Kindergarten if they turn 5 on or before September 1, 2024. This process can be started online by clicking here, or by coming into the office to get an enrollment packet. Our online enrollment can also be found on our school website. We can't wait to meet all of our new students!
