PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Happy Friday Titans,
I hope this newsletter finds you enjoying the"Friday Night Lights," either at 8th Grade Night at Milton High School or the ExtrvaBANDza Band Fundraiser at Roswell High School.
It was good to have our Titans back at school even if it was for only two days. Thank you to the Elkins Pointe SGC, Fulton County Schools, parents, and teachers for working with us to reinstate Thursday as a school day. It was important for us to gain back the instructional time we lost due to the storm. Also, we did not host Thursday Clubs because it was important to have purely an academic day.
Next week, 8th graders will be taking the ITBS tests on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It is critical all 8th graders come to school prepared to perform their best. ITBS results are one of the metrics used to determine placement in high school. Here are the things parents can do to help:
- Get your 8th grade child to school on time.
- Feed your 8th grader a nutritious breakfast with protein and carbohydrates. If your child needs to eat at the school, our cafeteria will make sure they have a good breakfast.
- Sleep! Make sure your 8th grader is well rested. Consider having electronic devices out of their bedrooms while they sleep.
- Laptops...make sure they are fully charged! Also, this is the week to bring chargers to school. Be sure to mark the charger with your child's name. It just might save you a $40 replacement fee.
Have a great weekend because you deserve it Titans!

The PTSA is looking for volunteers to take pictures at various events during the school year. (The pictures that we take are NOT for the yearbook. Elkins Pointe has its own yearbook staff.) Our images will be used for the TV monitors around the school (the students love these) and for Titan Talk. In addition, we need photographers to take pictures of students participating in Roswell Recreation sports and activities to display on this year’s Youth Day Parade float. This will require taking images at the school and at various fields or courts around town.
You must use a digital camera (DSLR) rather than a cell phone to ensure the best quality. And you can sign up for just one event or as many as your schedule permits!

Community Outreach
Water Wednesdays!
Did you know that approximately 10,000 individuals living in the North Fulton area (Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Roswell and Mountain Park) are either unemployed, underemployed or without basic resources like food, clothing, and shelter? North Fulton Community Charities wants to offer a way to help these families.
Our agency has created a really simple way for you to help. It's called Water Wednesday. For the next 10 weeks (or longer if you wish), we are challenging you to drink only water and donating $5.00 or more to NFCC. It is most likely what you would have spent on coffee, tea or some other beverage and here at NFCC we can put it to good use.
Water Wednesday is a quick and easy way to hydrate your body AND to help others HYDRATE their life. Sign up. Donate.. Tell a Friend...SPREAD THE WORD AND MAKE THE DIFFERENCE.
Our goal is to raise $45,000.
