How to Create a Short URL

Short URL's will help students find the site you want without having to type a long code.

To create a short URL:


  • Log into Google.
  • Copy the address you want to shorten
  • Search for goo.gl in the browser (this will take you to the Google URL Shortener!)
  • Paste the URL you want to shorten in the box under "Paste your long URL here"
  • Click the blue button "Shorten URL"

The short URL's you create will be kept in Google URL Shortener...

Now you can view details for each link.
