The Conejo Valley Unified School District is proud to share that on November 8th, Moody's Ratings upgraded the District's CA’s issuer rating to Aa3 from A1, and the District’s general obligation unlimited tax (GOULT) rating to Aa2 from Aa3. Additionally, an Aa2 rating has been assigned to the District's 2024 General Obligation Refunding Bonds. The expected par amount is $28 million. Following the sale, the District will have about $161 million in outstanding GOULT debt.
Strengthening Our Financial Future
This upgrade is driven by the District's growing economy and sound financial position that will remain stable given conservative fiscal management.
The Aa3 issuer rating reflects the district's stable financial position with sound reserves, as reflected in an available fund balance ratio of 17.8% through fiscal year 2023, which is expected to remain sound given the District’s conservative fiscal management.
The Conejo Valley Unified School District is committed to maintaining its strong financial standing and continuing to deliver quality education to its students. Learn more here.
