PHM Educational Foundation Fundraiser (LAST DAY TO VOTE)
Help Northpoint Win a PHM-ammy AND a $1000 Fine Arts Grant!
The P-H-M Education Foundation supports education through awarding innovative teaching grants, scholarships to students, staff development and other corporation-wide initiatives that fall outside the district’s budget.
The PHMEF recently turned 25(er 26) years old and to celebrate, we’re raising the curtain and turning on the stage lights for some incredible Broadway themed performances featuring our talented P-H-M students!
Watch all the performances at Broadway Performances – PHM Education Foundation (phmef.org) and vote for Northpoint as many times as you like. Votes are $5 and can help Northpoint win a PHM-ammy and a $1,000 fine-arts grant. Each school will get back 25% of their funds raised AND the rest will support innovative teacher grants and programs in ALL 15 P-H-M schools.

NEW UPDATES TO COVID PROTOCOLS!
As you may have seen from communication from Dr. Thacker yesterday, the Indiana Department of Heath has changed expectations and recommendations for schools regarding COVID. Because of this information, we will not need to conduct contact tracing. Please read the notes below for an update.
Parents/Guardians are still asked to notify the school of student COVID-19 positive cases.
If an individual tests positive, they should stay home and isolate from others for at least 5 full days.
People who are in isolation may return to school on day 6 as long as they are fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications and symptoms have improved. They should wear a mask when around others at home, in public and at school for days 6-10.
A negative test or doctor’s note is no longer required to return to school.
Due to a federal mandate, students are still required to wear a mask on the bus. If your child is a bus rider, it would be a good idea for your child to keep a mask with them in their backpacks. Bus drivers will have extras if students forget them. We will let you know if/when this mandate is lifted (possibly on March 18).
If you are interested in having your child continue to wear a mask or utilize a barrier while eating in the lunchroom, please complete the Google form by Tuesday, February 22 at 4:00 pm. Here is the link, https://forms.gle/UyMgNpYKPU5Yciv28
We look forward to welcoming volunteers for various activities in the near future, but please be patient as we will first need to work through the process related to background checks as stated in P-H-M Board Policies. Please fill out this form after you have completed the parent volunteer requirements
PHM Volunteer Bullying and Harassment Training - Northpoint
If you would like to visit to eat lunch with your child, please call us the day of before 10 a.m. so we can reserve a space for you.
On another note, I also wanted to remind you that students have 5 days to complete eLearning work from the past two days.
Again, I thank you for partnering with us on this journey as we begin to transition to our updated Health and Safety Guidelines.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

You'll just attend one meeting per month (typically the first Wednesday of each month at noon) and report back with a brief summary. The remaining meeting dates are March 2, April 13, and May 4. Please email northpointpto@phm.k12.in.us if you are interested in helping.
