Adapted Community Recreation
Columbia Parks and Recreation offers adapted recreation programs (Adapted Community Recreation), located at Stuart Parker Housing Development (formerly Paquin Tower), and is designed for individuals with special needs. The program is open to the community. Also offered, is Adapted Sports housed at the Activity and Recreation Center (ARC). If you wish to participate in any Parks and Recreation activity, yet feel you may need some special accommodation, please call the office.

Adapted Sports
The City of Columbia offers numerous sports to individuals with special needs. Competitions are through Special Olympics, however, competing is not required for participation. When you register, please be sure that your athlete has a current physical and release form. New participants must schedule a New Athlete Meeting prior to participation. To schedule a new athlete meeting, contact Jessica Sida.

Amish Trip
Its time for a scenic drive to the Amish in Clark, MO. We'll leave Paquin at 8 am on October 7. Please sign up in advance, with a current Rec Card. Trip fee is $3.00.
Your Pie
Lunch at Your Pie will be on October 11 at 11 am. Please sign up in advance and have a current Rec Card. Don't forget money for lunch ;)
Saturday Ceramics
The art room will be open on October 14, 11 am-2 pm for arts and crafts.
Adapted Bell Choir
Learn how to play the melody chimes on October 16 at 3:30 pm. We'll meet in the lobby of Paquin Tower.
Biscuits and Gravy
Breakfast will be served on October 20 at 9 am. B&G will be $2.00/plate.
Pumpkin Painting
Come down and paint a pumpkin for Halloween! We'll have all of the supplies available on October 25 at 4 pm. Art fee is $2.00, please sign up in advance.
Halloween Dance at the ARC
Join us at the ARC for a fun night of great music and lots of dancing on October 27 at 6:30 pm. Snacks will be provided. Cost is $5.00 at the door and is located at 1701 W. Ash St. Columbia, MO 65203.
Cooking with Anna
Come join us in the Paquin kitchen area to discuss and sample easy and budget friendly dishes on October 30 at 5 pm.
Happy Hour Fitness (HHF)
Happy Hour Fitness is a small group that meets Monday through Friday at 3 pm to be more active.
SCARY Movie Night
Come to the Paquin Lobby on Halloween to watch a classic horror flick at 6 pm. Popcorn will be provided.
Unofficial Paquin Movie Group
We're back!! The new, bigger and better T.V. is here! We'll be doing movie nights on Tuesdays at 6 pm.
Adapted Community Recreation Art Room
The art program is a walk-in program, and is open to the community. Participants are free to come and go as they please. The art instructor is usually available at 11 am Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There is a studio fee of $2.00 for scheduled crafts and to cover craft materials.

- Wednesdays: 11 am-4 pm
- Thursdays: 11 am-4 pm
- Fridays: 11 am-4 pm
