Welcome to our CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers alike student triumphs at Corby Technical School. We are proud of every student and every success they have - please feel free to share with us any achievements they might have.

BRIT Kids
Thank you to Mr Wears from CBA who delivered an assembly about the exciting Saturday programme on offer as the Trust have forged a partnership with The BRIT School. Students can attend dance, singing, theatre, fashion, textiles and film-making sessions.
German Exchange Visit
We are really looking forward to welcoming a group of German students to our school next Tuesday. They will tour the school and join in with our lessons to find out what school life is like in England.
XMA - Year 10
XMA visited school and delivered a workshop to Year 10 students on next steps and careers in technical fields, mainly Computing. One of the speakers focused on women and technology and her own route into this field.

- Miss Watt has nominated 7CO for being fabulous in German this week.
- Mr Godfrey has nominated Luke 7CO for great understanding in Science and a fantastic attitude.
- Mr Krawczynzki has nominated Nikoden 7CA for an amazing result in the Maths challenge.
- Mrs Vaghadia has nominated Caitlin and Bella 10T and Joshua, Lloyd and Sophie 10S for their hard work in Sociology this week.
- Mr Harley has nominated Tamsyn 8S for making the best maze using 2D design CAD software and 7TE for making amazing Frisbee's in preparation for the Hunstanton trip.
- Mr Gourlay has nominated Nikodem 7CA for the brilliant work on his Kodu project in Computing.
- Mr Horne has nominated Christopher 10T C for showing great commitment and tackling difficult trigonometry problems in Maths.
Celebration of Student Work:
Great Trust Bake Off
Key Stage 3 students are taking part in weekly baking challenges after school where they will be tasked with making biscuits, cupcakes, tray bakes and savoury pastries. Darci, 8S was Star Baker this week.
Warhammer Club
Warhammer is a hobby that engages young people with fun games and collectable models. During the club, which runs on Tuesday's after school, members will learn how to build and paint the models.
CTS Anti Bullying Representatives

Attendance Matters
Every single day a student is absent from school equates to a day lost of learning. At Corby Technical School we pride ourselves in maintaining excellent attendance. Our target is to achieve and maintain a whole school attendance of above 96.5%. We will be giving you weekly updates on our whole school attendance, the tutor group and house who achieved the highest attendance this week.

Well done to Mr Horne and the students of 7CA with 98.8%.
House Winner
C house are the winners again this week with 97.52%, well done to all in Cayley and Coleman.
