Google Forms
Google Forms is a full-feature tool that comes free with your Google account. Forms is a survey administration app that is in Google Drive. There are several types of question types such as, multiple choice, checkbox, drop-down, grid and short answer. This allows teachers to use it in any way they would like for the classroom. Google Forms is accessible on computers and cellular devices. After creating a form it is easily shareable via a link you send out to whoever you would like! Once the form starts being filled out you will receive an email and notification about a response, it will show you all the responses and you can also choose to have the responses turned into an Excel Spreadsheet to organize the responses!
How to use Google Forms in the Classroom:
- Teachers can create a quiz for students to complete about a book that was read, the lesson given that day, or a video that was watched in class. (This also grades automatically if you would like to use that option)
- Give the students a voice and get to know their side of something, you can create a survey about something you want to know.
- Forms can be used for a poll! This also gives the students a chance to give their input on anything you would like to know.
- Get students interested about what the lesson of the day is when they first enter the classroom with simple images and facts about that topic! You could also include some questions that students have to answer as guesses to what something is or if they may already know something about that topic!
