Input and Output
Revison Computing Studies
Introduction
Simple I/O
it into signals that a computer can understand. The output from these devices is input for the computer. Printers and monitors take as input signals that a computer outputs. For example when you tell the computer to print something, the computer outputs information to the printer and the printer inputs this information and then prints whatever the output from the computer has sent it. They then convert these signals into representations that human users can see or read. For a human anything that they can see or read is output from the computer and the human inputs it into their memory so I/O is also not only used in technological terms.
The Interface
Examples of INPUT AND OUTPUT
Input and Output for VCR Tv
This picture shows the input and output of getting the power from the wall the the S video box to the TV itself using audio input and output cables, this shows how I/O works.
A pair of Output speakers
This pair of speakers use an Output cable from the Computer to play the music. There is no input cable to the Computer because the speakers are not controlling what will happen, unlike a mouse or keyboard are both input devices.
Input and Output devices
This diagram shows what devices are input and output and also what can do both. For example some CDs are I/O because they are read and write, i.e your computer reads the CD to download music and also the computer can write software on the CD.
Higher Level Operating
This is very high level of programming that you must know what C and C++ programming languages are and also the language of ALGOL 68. Without knowing these languages then this paragraph is not helpful to you.
